Captain Chaos

Background

It was on this station a number of years back I got the name Chaos . Its sort of stuck, you will realise why pretty soon. I broadcast from Liverpool and have been involved in radio for just over 12 years
At an early age (15) I was attracted to pubs and nightclubs .Hmmm some things never change! There was one particular club called the Broadway Club in Liverpool I used to frequent 3 nights a week. My love for music in the club didn’t go unrecognised and I learnt how to play and mix vinyl records . From thereon in I started covering a few nights every so often until I ended up being resident Dj in one of the function suits .
A little later in life I covered for a Dj in a club in Liverpool called the Paradox . I absolutely stunk the place out that evening and was asked never to come back ever again . This is a skill I still have today and am very proud of the fact.
I never really got into music until I was 14 or 15 years old . This of course was in the 80s so I was very lucky . 80s bands all played instruments back then unlike this churned out rubbish we hear today
I do have a varied taste in music from 70s to todays music. I also have a guilty pleasures away from 80s music . One of them is Brass Band music and the other is André Rieu. Promise not to play any
I am probably the most badly behaved Dj on the station . I have however become less of an idiot since I met my beautiful wife . She has become somewhat of a calming influence in my life so I don’t tend to have as much drama . I have worked on a few other radio stations over the years but Iconic Extra has always been more of a wife to me than a girlfriend. I love the station and our listeners. I have made a number of friends for life on Iconic and I am sure there are many new ones I am yet to meet.
